An interesting transitional piece of furniture, the mule chest charts an intermediate piece in the development of the chest of drawers from the simple coffer. A fine example of it's type, this English oak chest displays a fabulously aged patina and is raised on bracket feet with twin lower drawers beneath five faux drawers, each dressed with bat wing plate swan neck handles. The
