In order to create a new sustainable value, Mr. Suginaka, an urushi (Japanese lacquer) Meister, repaired and upcycled this bowl using Kintsugi, a unique Japanese ware repair method. To further enhance the red and blue colors of the vessel, the Kintsugi line is thickened to create a gorgeous finish. Applying Kintsugi makes the original vessels even more impressive pieces.
