Citrus hystrix – Makrut limeCitrus hystrix, the Makrut lime, stands out through glossy double lobed leaves, rough bumpy green fruit and a strong aromatic leaf scent. It grows as an evergreen shrub or small tree, with both leaf shape and fruit texture visible in container culture. Keep it warm and bright, use a sharply draining citrus substrate and water thoroughly once the upper mix has started to dry; winter protection above about 10C is important.
