In order to create a new sustainable value, Mr. Suginaka, an urushi (Japanese lacquer) Meister, repaired and upcycled this cup using Kintsugi, a unique Japanese ware repair method. After carefully joining the broken part using urushi, the 24 karat gold powder was sprinkled to decorate the joined parts. For this piece, we applied a Kintsugi as simple as possible to match
