I carved the sterling silver setting from a block of wax, then cast that wax pendant into metal and molded it so I can make multiples. Both sides of the setting then get a layer of vitreous enamel (fine glass) and fired at 1400 degrees in a kiln, four separate times, to build strength and color saturation .
